Program Description:

PC-HAM is a set of database programs of interest to Amateur Radio
enthusiasts. The programs cover many areas: computer aided design, contact
logging, awards, contests, simulations and modelling, antenna position and
pointing, OSCAR satellite tracking, and contest logging. The BASIC language
programs are described in (or based on) the book, Software For Amateur
Radio, written by Joe Kasser. The dBASE II programs are an expanded version
of the NorthStar BASIC programs that perform database operations on logbook
information.

The documentation is meager and, with the exception of the dBASE II
programs, frequently refers to the author's book. The author, however,
doesn't try to sell you his book. On balance, the documentation is probably
more than adequate. The author says that the NorthStar BASIC programs will
be converted to PC BASIC, probably in the next release.

No system requirements are given. The dBASE II and PC BASIC programs should
run on any minimally configured IBM PC or compatible that will run dBASE II.
Two diskette drives are recommended. The NorthStar BASIC programs will run
on a NorthStar Horizon.
